そのエイサーを温かく受け入れるおばぁたちの優しさ、そして伝統を受け継ぐウチナー精神に深く感動しました。
今回の楽曲はアップビートなジャパニーズレゲエがベース。
直接エイサーのリズムや演奏を再現しているわけではありませんが、その季節感と雰囲気をラガに重ね、沖縄の伝統文化へのリスペクトを込めて表現しました。

September in Okinawa is the season of Eisa — a traditional Okinawan drum dance performed during summer festivals and Obon, where the sound of taiko drums and the shout of “Yoisa!” fill the night and the whole island comes alive with energy.
I was deeply moved to learn about the Asato Youth Association, which performs Eisa all night long, visiting each home in the village. Even more touching was the kindness of the grandmothers welcoming them, and the strong Okinawan spirit (Uchina spirit) of passing on traditions to the next generation.
This track is based on upbeat Japanese reggae and dancehall.
It does not directly reproduce the rhythms or performance of Eisa, but blends the seasonal atmosphere with ragga vibes, as a tribute and respect to Okinawan traditional culture.
